Define erect? You mean you clit or firmer? I always wake up extermly wet
My clit is erect and i wake up wet also my labia gets big and puffy too
I am genuinely interested to see the difference (in a non-sexual or perverted way)
Stacey would you be willing to do a normal and morning vagina ?
Yeah, why not 🙂
🙂 i will i just need the confidence but iam sure yours will give me the encouagement too
That’s the thing with this website, its all anonymous, no-one can contact you (unless you wish them to), you’ll get helpful advice and positive comments. Only you and the VRaters will see your V without your identity being compromised.
There already many women on here who often make comments and send in more pictures. That shows an element of trust between us all.
We do hope that you will upload your pictures soon.
The confidence begins after you make the decision to do so.
VHelper
Are you doing the same Christine?
Trust me: It is perfectly normal
we refer to it as an “LadyBoner”
Please submit photos soon
So share photo of your morning V for we could compare 😉
It’s all good. Women have erections too! These erections are called clitoral erection. Clitoral erections are usually accompanied with vaginal lubrification.
Just like men, the absence of norepinephrine during the REM phase of the sleep causes erections. In women, this phenomenon is called Nocturnal clitoral tumescence while it is called Nocturnal penile tumescence in men. In women, not only the clitoris get engorged with blood but the vagina too.
The clitoris is a *lot* like a penis, only most of it is inside and around the vulva. The engorgement of morning ladyboners keep your clit healthy.
Thank you for that comment. It was very informative.
i’m not expert but I do understand that there are similarities between a woman’s clitoris and a man’s glans on his penis.
If men get erections when they wake up, which is often called the ‘morning wood’, then I could appreciate that women would get the same feeling.
It’s a subject that is not often discussed and from the technical detail given above from Schiffner, we are more enlightened about the subject and it seems that it is perfectly normal.
I wonder if women lose this sensation when they arrive at a certain age, as men have erectile dysfunction over the age of 40. Apparently, 40% of men over 40 get this, which I’m proud to say that I’m not part of that statistic. haha
That’s an interesting question Unashamed. I lost it for many years but in the last year it has returned in the morning which I put down to coming through the menopause? So yes, I found Schiffner’s comments very informative too!
so you’ve experienced it yourself … interesting!!!
will you be checking yourself more often lol
as an added thought,
Is it only a feeling of hardness or is there an actual physical different appearance to an erect clitoris as opposed to a flaccid one
I’m curious (and slightly ignorant)
Hi Unashamed,
Ok, basically the clitoris becomes engorged like the penis. The bit you see is like the glans (head) of the penis. It also has a shaft. But in fact that is all part of a more complex structure. The erectile tissue of the clitoris is a bit different from the penis so it doesn’t actually get hard like a penis does. It is the engorgement that makes it seem a bit harder. However it does increase in size.
The clitoris is made up of many different parts, including the clitoral head, the hood the clitoral shaft, the urethral sponge, erectile tissue, glands, vestibular bulbs and the crura (or the clitoral legs). Only the clitoral head and the hood are located outside the body.
There’s a good representational drawing if you scroll about halfway down this page . ..

Just like vulvas, no two are the same. Some gals have rockin’ urethral sponges (squirters!), or big v-bulbs (plumpers!) or not, and so on. Female sexuality is complex, fascinating and fun once you know there’s more than the ol’ hokey pokey going on.
Any type of V is a great V.
Having the same type will be boring.
As with men’s penises, they all differ.
We all have our preferred choice.
